What Geneva Did
Provided a linguist capable of interpretation, translation and gisting to comb the internet and LinkedIn profiles in another language with the goal of finding well-hidden contact information that would not be otherwise available without a skilled linguist.
Results
Geneva provided interpretation for the client via phone, email back and forth, the translation of legal documents and ultimately a settlement. The client was able to solve their challenging business problem with the help of a flexible and multi-disciplinary approach.

Client Need
The client asked Geneva to provide an ASL interpreter for a business interview. They needed someone to not only interpret but also help take away the stigma of deaf employees.
What Geneva Did
After reviewing the assignment specifics, our team matched an appropriate ASL interpreter to facilitate the interview and subsequent second interview process.
Results
The client was able to offer employment and expand its resource pool by extending an offer to a deaf and hard of hearing candidate. The use of a professional interpreter in this setting ensured a candidate qualified in the position was not stigmatized nor limited in their employability effective interpretation.
New York City Road Runners / NYC Marathon
Geneva had a roster of linguists in various languages ready to provide whatever services were needed during the NYC marathon.
Client Need
The client asked for linguists for pre and post marathon interviews as well as translation services. Flexibility was key, as the availability and type of project would vary depending on who actually won the marathon.
What Geneva Did
Geneva assembled a team of linguists in 7 languages based on the history of marathon winners and our research as to who the odds on favorites would be. Our team of linguists was available for all pre-marathon events and the linguists for the top winners would be flexible for the type of service, location and duration post marathon.
Results
For the 5th year, Geneva was able to provide the right team of linguists to cover the event in its entirety and was on standby in case a longshot would have placed. Our team was able to provide the Road Runners with flexible services to meet the needs of this highly publicized event.
New York State Department of Labor Interpretation
Geneva was able to facilitate a difficult language request using a combination of resources
Client Need
Provide an interpreter for a hearing in an Esoteric language (Kichwa) where no resources were available that spoke English within 24 hours. The client had a quick turnaround in a limited diffuse language.
What Geneva Did
There were no local resources that spoke Kichwa and English for the request. The client was given the option for Video Remote Interpretation, Telephonic interpretation to expand outside of the geographic area, but the client was mandated to provide a face to face linguist for this high profile claimant.
Results
Geneva was able to use one of its professional Kichwa → Spanish linguists and added a Spanish → English interpreter to function as a relay interpreter for the session. The services were provided face to face as required.
